AVENUES FOR GROWTH
Five Oaks Counseling will be sponsoring events on topics related to mental health, marriage and family, and faith integration during the year ahead. More information on these events will be announced soon! In the meantime, contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org to receive regular updates on this and other developments.
Five Oaks Counseling provides excellent training and teaching on topics related to mental health, marriage and family, and faith integration. I am equipped to speak to large groups and small groups, local churches and parachurch ministries, community-based organizations, and other groups in need of these resources. Contact email@example.com to inquire about booking a speaking event. Possible topics include:
The Faces of Mental Illness; The CDC and Prevention report that half of all adults will suffer from mental illness in their lifetime. This means that someone you know is living with mental illness. How to raise awareness and offer hope in your ministry context.
Coming Alongside; Our Biblical calling to offer ongoing support and counsel to those among us. A practice in listening and asking good questions as well as how to know when to refer.
Toxic Life; Life and work are creating stressors that are taking a toll on individuals and families. How to address the mental health issues caused by stress in your ministry communities.
Parenting; It’s not just about tips of trade. Parenting involves knowing your unique child.
Marriage; Are you stuck? Get out of the cycle and move on to connectedness and intimacy.
Grief; Losing someone is one of the most difficult of live’s experiences. Recognize what you are going through and find tools to help.
Shame; Adulting, authenticity, vulnerability. Learn where you are stuck, the neurology of it and how to walk free from shame.
Consultations are available to congregations and other ministries seeking education and/or resources to appropriately minister to members who may be experiencing behavioral healthcare or relationship issues.
Five Oaks Counseling offers a monthly newsletter that includes topical reflections on integrative Christian counseling, practical community-focused resources on topics of mental health and marriage and family, and other points of interest.
