Partnering together to face life's challenges

I draw upon my professional training, formal education and clinical experience to address the unique mental, emotional, relational, and spiritual needs of each person. I am well-equipped to serve people with an array of presenting issues.  I am committed to partnering with my clients through empathy and encouragement so that they might have hope, find healing and grow, to become all they were meant to be. In my spare time you will find me spending time with family, going on long walks, enjoying a good book with a cup of coffee, and attending a myriad of sporting events.

We are all designed uniquely and have our own path.  Every person that I encounter is shaped by the interwoven threads of mind, body and spirit as well as relationships, work, education, culture, community, and history. As such, I seek to care for the whole person through services that take into account this full range of formative influences which is called a “system model”. Caring for the whole person also means that I partner with my clients to address unwanted or problematic behaviors while gradually moving deeper to explore root issues that might be hampering growth. I also have special training in the integration of spirituality with emotional or relational healing, and I work comfortably with clients from a wide range of religious and spiritual backgrounds, including those for whom religion is not important.

In the ancient Hebrew text of the prophecy of Isaiah, he speaks of the renewing, restoring and rebuilding of people in Isaiah chapter 61: "to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion, to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor." My passion is to partner with you in order for restoration to occur in places that have been devastated by brokenness.
