At Five Oaks, I take inspiration from the oak tree. Growth starts quietly, like an acorn in the soil. With care and challenge, it develops strong roots and resilience to weather storms.

Therapy can be that same process: tending to yourself, facing challenges, and becoming more grounded and authentic.

You may look “fine” on the outside, but inside feel heavy, confused, or exhausted. You might notice:

  • Feeling disconnected, numb, or unsure how to access emotions

  • Carrying shame or self-blame that won’t let go—a loud “critic”

  • Questioning who you are or feeling like your sense of self has slipped away

  • Feeling anxious, on edge, or unable to relax

  • Stuck in the same patterns, relationships, or behaviors, even when you want change

  • Navigating midlife shifts—career, empty-nesting, caregiving, partnership, body changes, or wondering what’s next

My work is to help you untangle these patterns, reclaim your voice, and grow stronger, freer, and more fully yourself.

And I’ll support you on the journey.

SPECIALTIES

  • Using CBT, somatic work, and Lifespan Integration, I support you in releasing painful past experiences—including trauma from toxic or narcissistic relationships and codependency—reducing anxiety, and building healthier relationships with yourself and others.

  • If you’re struggling to feel understood or connected, therapy can help—whether on your own or with your partner. Together, we’ll strengthen communication, build trust, and deepen your most important relationships.

  • Chronic stress, anxiety, and burnout don’t have to control your life. Through mind-body connection, you can regulate your nervous system, release stored tension, and feel more grounded, calm, and in control.

  • When past faith experiences leave you feeling ashamed, isolated, or burdened by layers of trauma, therapy offers a safe space to process those messages, untangle the impact of repeated wounds, reconnect with your values, and create a life that truly feels like your own.

  • Midlife can bring big changes—in your body, your relationships, your emotions, and your sense of self. Shifts in energy, hormonal changes, and evolving roles with partners, children, or aging parents can leave you feeling stressed, disconnected, or uncertain about what’s next. Emotional ups and downs, questions about purpose, and transitions in work or personal life can make this chapter feel overwhelming. Therapy offers a space to navigate these changes, reconnect with yourself, and create a life that feels authentic, balanced, and fulfilling.

  • The Enneagram is a powerful tool for self-discovery, helping you uncover your true self, recognize patterns that keep you stuck, and identify opportunities for growth. By understanding your type, you can gain insight into your motivations, behaviors, and blind spots, and begin making conscious choices that lead to healthier relationships, greater self-awareness, and personal transformation.

I hold dual Master’s degrees from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary—one in Counseling and one in Marriage and Family Therapy—where I dove deep into understanding the human mind, relationships, and what helps people truly thrive.

Before that, I earned a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science with a minor in Psychology from the University of Southern California, so I know a thing or two about both body and mind.

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State (License #LH60868955) and an active member of the American Counseling Association and the Washington Mental Health Counselors Association.

Over the years, I’ve trained in a variety of approaches that help people heal, grow, and reconnect, including the Gottman Method (Level 1 & 2), Emotionally Focused Therapy, Narrative Focused Trauma Care, Mindsight Institute, Neuro Mastery, Integrative Enneagram, and Lifespan Integration.

I’m also the author of Cracked Open: A Journey to a Resilient and Independent Mindset, where I share my experience leaving high-control systems and recovering from religious trauma—because sometimes the best therapy comes from lived experience as well as training.

FAQ’s

  • I work with individuals who have experienced religious or spiritual trauma, narcissistic or relational abuse, anxiety, shame, or identity struggles. This includes executives and professionals who are ready to make meaningful change.

My clients are seeking to heal, set boundaries, reconnect with their True Self, and build lives rooted in authenticity and resilience.

I also support clinicians and professionals looking for tools to help others navigate these challenges.

  • Research shows that the best predictor of successful therapy is the relationship between therapist and client. We might be a good fit if you value a nonjudgmental, empathetic therapist with a good sense of humor. I work best with clients who are ready to change and willing to put in the effort.

  • Much of my work overlaps in modalities as we are whole beings who have past, present and future lives.

Coaching and therapy both offer valuable support, but they serve different purposes. Therapy is focused on healing, helping you address emotional challenges and work through past experiences that may be holding you back. It’s a space for reflection, healing, and growth.

Coaching, on the other hand, is more action-oriented and future-focused. It’s designed to help you set and achieve goals, navigate transitions, and create positive change in your life. While therapy works to heal past wounds, coaching empowers you to move forward with clarity and confidence.

No matter where you are on your journey, I am here to help you make progress, whether you're healing, growing, or working toward your next chapter.

  • Life is busy—and therapy should be accessible. I offer secure, HIPAA-compliant teletherapy for clients across Washington. Whether you’re in Seattle, Spokane, or a cozy coastal town, you can receive high-quality care that fits your schedule and your life.

I offer coaching outside of Washington state through convenient online sessions, providing a supportive, virtual space where we can explore your challenges, uncover your strengths, and work together toward creating meaningful change—no matter where you are.

  • My practice is private pay, and I do not bill insurance directly. Fees can be paid by cash, check, credit/debit, or HSA.

I am an out-of-network provider, and I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement or for workplace wellness/professional development benefits. Please note that most insurance companies require a mental health diagnosis for reimbursement; I can discuss this with you and provide guidance as needed.

It’s a good idea to confirm coverage with your insurance company. Helpful questions include:

    • What is the reimbursement rate for an out-of-network provider?

    • Is prior approval required from my primary care physician?

    • How many outpatient mental health sessions are covered per year?

    • What is my deductible, and has it been met?

  • I offer a free 20-minute consultation, online or over the phone. It’s a chance for us to connect, talk about what matters most to you, and decide if we’re a good fit. If you’d like to continue, therapy sessions are available online. These are dedicated spaces for you to process, reflect, and explore, with a pace we’ll set together.

    • Individual therapy: 50 minutes | $195

    • Couples therapy: 50 minutes | $255

    • All cards will be charge an additional processing fee of 3% + $.05.

  • I meet with clients on a weekly basis (or sometimes more than once a week depending on your situation).

I do not see clients less than weekly, because at least weekly is needed for you to see a real improvement and progress in your mental health.

Once we decide to work together, it is best to find appointment times that are workable for the both of us, and will be consistent from week to week.

This regularity allows us to get to the core root of your struggles rather than just maintenance therapy. We will find a time that is consistent week to week and I hold this hour for you each week.

Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing we will ever do.
